Aloha Hawaii County Council members,
It is my pleasure to give you some background information about myself regarding this
nomination to Hawaii County Fire Commission.
Some of you I have had the honor of serving on the Council with so you already know me, and
can attest to my true character and reputation, hence my request to be kind yea when doing so! •
Just kidding
I was born on Maui in 1964, moved to Hilo in the early 70's graduated from Hilo High school.
I worked in the hotel industry before moving to Germany where I continued my hospitality
management experience before moving back to Hilo in 1990, got married and served as a
correctional officer for 13 years for Hawaii's department of Public Safety then became a
• Union business agent. I now own and operate a bed and breakfast and serve on the boards of
•
Big Island Substance Abuse Council and Hawai'i Rise.
I am willing to serve on the Fire Commission because it gives me an opportunity to give back
to my community in a truly meaningful way in the arena of our first responders who give so
much of themselves every day. I humbly ask you confirm my nomination.
