Re: Operating Budget
- Enclosed is a resolution to enter into an agreement with the Department of Housing and
Urban Development(OHCD) in order to receive their Community Development Block
Grant (CDBG) funds.
Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating
$2,726,423 into the OHCD's CDBG grant account. This appropriation reflects the
funding allocations anticipated from the U.S. Department of Housing and Community
Development (HUD) for the Program Year(PY) 2020. The bill sets up the proper
accounts to receive and expend the CDBG funds.
This bill is being submitted concurrently with a bill to appropriate funds from the HOME
Investment Partnerships Program(HOME). Also being submitted concurrently with this
and the other bill is a resolution to authorize the Mayor to execute and submit the 2020
County of Hawai`i Action Plans. If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call
