Your Committee on Finance,to which was referred Resolution No. 53 8-20, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 538-20,transmitted by Finance Director Deanna Sako, via Communication No. 815
dated March 6, 2020, creates one new Clerk III position for the Department of Human Resources.
This resolution authorizes the ability to create one new Clerk III position for the County of Hawaii
Department of Human Resources to provide additional support to assist with the department's increased
operational demands.
There was no discussion.
Pursuant to Hawaii County Charter Section 5-1.3(c), the Mayor has the power to create positions "for
which"appropriations have been made by the council."
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution 538-20 and
recommends its adoption.
