In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and in an effort to maintain social distancing and give due consideration to our essential-only staff,the 2020 Departmental Budget & Program Reviews customarily held during a Special Meeting of the Committee on Finance, will be conducted by a written question and answer process, as follows: • Council Members will submit their written questions directed to specific department(s)to the Finance Chair on or before Friday, April 3, 2020. Questions only will be compiled and to the appropriate department. Written responses to the questions must be emailed to the Finance Committee Chair on or before Monday, April 13, 2020. • Responses received from the departments on April 13, 2020, will be provided to Council Members via communication for review. • If Council Members have any follow-up questions, please email the questions to the Finance Committee Chair on or before Friday, April 17, 2020. Follow-up questions will be forwarded to the applicable departments. Written responses must be emailed to the Finance Committee Chair on or before Friday, April 24, 2020. • Responses to follow-up questions received on April 24, 2020, will be provided to Council Members via communication for review. In addition to the process outlined above, Council Members may entertain the usual requests from departments for a meeting, provided that the meeting is held via teleconference.
