Aloha County Council members-
It's time for the Big Island to hunker down and protect citizens. I hope you can pass a Bill with a
unanimous vote or a large majority to take a leadership position.
WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?
LACK.OF MEDICAL RESOURCES ON THE BIG ISLAND: I have a friend who works at the Hilo
Medical Center in leadership and this is what she said: "We don't have 40 ICU beds on the Bt. We
have 12 at Hilo Medical Center 4 at North Hawaii Center and 4 at Kona Community Hospital, If
we double bunk we will have 40. Hilo MC only has 24 ventilators. We will be overwhelmed and
Oahu is not sending help or screening swabs. The military will probably help them (Ohau) but I
don't think Bl will be a priority. it is grim. Shelter in place..."
I encourage you to pass a Bill that will support the recommendations from Lieutenant Governor Josh
Green:
