I could wax poetically about the need to institute stricter protocols and protest that I feel the governor and mayor of Hawaii seem disconnected in placing everyone at risk for the sake of tourist but I'll try to stick to facts. There is currently over 1.3 million Hawaiians and residents living on the various Hawaiian islands and the infections that are known as of 3/20 are 26 which has doubled in 3 days. The number of tourist per the DOA and DOT currently(http://dbedt.hawaii.gov/visitor/daily-passenger-counts/total-passenger-counts/) is at 19,553 which comprises less than 2% of the population yet the current governor and Mayor Kim seem to be hesitant to consider the safety of the majority in favor of a tourist minority from which the introduction of this pandemic to Hawaii came from. It's this simple by example: when a killer is running loose in neighborhoods there is a lockdown issued for the area to not allow the killer to have shelter and hide. This pandemic is a certified killer yet it's being catered to by our government to continue roaming and killing. If their agenda isn't to lockdown all of Hawaii, they are subject everyone to a similar epidemic that reduced the native Hawaiian population of over 500,000 to just over 37,000. To prevent this pandemic from getting a grip on one of the last states with under 100 cases, please draft articles that will dismiss Governor Ige and Mayor Kim and install the Lieutenant Governor as the acting governor who's intent is to lock down the islands NOW. To falter in taking action has caused deaths to yet be recorded and will certainly cause them in the future. We are getting very close to civic unrest as the responses by our existing governing bodies has not alleviated the collective concern about safety.
