HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOM 0843.045 2018-2020 Mayor Harry Kim's actions to refuse to implement and enforce restrictions fly in the face of knowledge and logic. The Big Island has potential to be a haven IF action is taken now. The great majority of residents choose to be minimally affected regarding our health by employing severe restrictions on the visitor industry and travel. We know the financial repercussions to our friends, families and neighbors will be significant and long lasting. We will need to work together to mitigate those effects—AND WE WILL. Community is strong here and can be strengthened further in these very trying times. Take care of the Big Island resident's first. The health of close to 200,000 people is the primary concern. Yes,there will be some great disappointment experienced in the visitor industry. It will recover. We want to be here when it does. PLEASE DON'T LET THIS BE THE YEAR OF 2020 HINDSIGHT! G H fa 14.
