MANDATORY ISOLATION PLEASE Date MAR 2 0 2020

We are begging you as a community to please please please implement mandatory isolation of
some kind.
We currently have the fewest cases on the Big Island,but the data shows that will quickly change
if we do nothing. We must act now to flatten the curve or we will surely see the spread and
resulting impacts on every family in Hawaii County. We will see deaths, we will see families
losing their loved ones.
No amount of money or business is worth the loss of life. Visitors who are stuck here can eat in
their hotels rooms! Do not put your service industry employees at risk by allowing restaurants to
remain open!!!
I work at a large resort and we are all struggling to understand your lack of action. As a manager
I do not know how to tell my team that they will be required to come to work amidst all of this
because the company is following the recommendations given by our mayor.
MANDATE CLOSURES, SAVE LIVES NOW WHILE WE STILL HAVE THE CHANCE!!
We do not have the resources or capacities available on the Big Island(in the entire state for that
matter) to fight this virus. Our healthcare system will not be able to save lives. We will need to
let people die. Take action now or forever live with the guilt that you chose to do nothing. The
deaths will be on you if you do not take action now!
