Testimony on the Covid-19 Virus for Hawaii County
To: Council Testimony
Aloha All
Appreciate the Council taking testimony as always and also only having video'conferencing at
your meeting tomorrow, Friday, 3/20.
As we all are aware, Hawaii Island has very limited medical facilities, as well as hospital
beds. So far, thankfully, we have lowest number of virus cases.
Here are some suggestions and observations to please consider:

•Follow similar steps taken by Kauai County Mayor
•Set up curfew times from 9 PM to 5 am
•Limit airline travel to and from the island to essential needs only.
•At this time, Do Not promote Hawaii Island as a tourist destination
•Quarantine arriving visitors for 14 days
•Require hotels and resorts to limit the number of reservations and guests
•Request hotel and resorts to separate visitors and guests rooms as much as possible
•Close down bars. Allow restaurants with bars to stay open with limited opening times
