Aloha Members of Hawaii County Council,
My name is Christopher Hale. I reside in Holualoa and work as a public school teacher at Holualoa
Elementary School.
I would like to express my deep concern about the need to be more proactive in preparing for and
fighting against the spread of Covidl9. I feel we are not taking aggressive enough measures to keep our
community and kupuna safe. I would encourage all of you to adhere to and promote the suggested
guidance coming from the CDC as well as the recommendations of our own Lt. Governor,who has
extensive medical knowledge and an understanding of how our mindset and behavior now,will affect
our health and safety in the future. We can recover from short term economic loss, but human lives are
at stake and your guidance will directly determine how many lives will be lost in this fight. Please show
the leadership necessary to keep our community as safe as possible.
