Emergency Response to COVID-19 I JUST SHUT DOWN
To: Council Testimony
Aloha County,
This is the time to shut down. We must act now, not when numbers continue to spike as testing
becomes more available.
Shut this thing down now. Otherwise, not only will our economy spiral downwards, so will the
health and well-being of our community.
We do not have capacity at the hospitals, limited PPE for our medical staff; and while COVID-
19 spreads on our island, what happens to folks who have pre-existing conditions, are pregnant
or need other critical medical attention?
Do the right thing and shut down now. Yes, it will be painful, but it will be immensely more
painful if you do not order a shut down now.
