Aloha Councilmembers,
Lt. Governor Josh Green MD has created a protocol to mitigate the deadly impacts of
coronavirus, based on the successful models of Taiwan and Singapore. The principles
of this protocol are listed below. PLEASE DO EVERYTHING IN YOUR POWER TO
IMPLEMENT THIS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Lt. Gov. Green says that "This is the only way to prevent our healthcare system from
being overrun and to save lives, especially Kupuna. The opposite approach of
inadequate follow up and inadequate testing failed, and lives were tragically lost."
PLEASE IMPLEMENT THESE MANDATES ASAP:
1. Suspend all non-essential travel to Hawaii through 4/30/20,
2. Screen for fever and symptoms at airports.
3. Require two weeks of quarantine for anyone who comes to Hawaii.
4. Contact test every positive case and isolate them completely,
5. Set up extra hospital capacity to care for infected individuals who need medical care.
6. Order necessary quantities of masks, test kits, ventilators for Hawaii County
7. Continue to study the states and countries that are 2-4 weeks ahead of us to prepare
for all of our needs
