I believe we need to keep the schools closed longer in order to ensure we are limiting the spread of
Covid-19 to our kupuna. Having students return to a school setting where it is impossible to limit
contact with others and social distancing will be an insurmountable challengeis not wise. The fact that
students could be asymptomatic yet at school spreading the virus is not acceptable. Because of the
nature of the virus I believe the only option to protect our community is to close the schools for at least
8 weeks as the CDC recommends.
