Aloha and To Whom It May Concern,
I called and left a message for Mayor Harry Kim yesterday afternoon.
We need to do all we can to quarantine Hawai'i island as a whole, separate ourselves as best
possible and prepare our health care workers/hospitals for what is to come.
It is irresponsible and dangerous to our Kupuna,keiki and community to continue to allow cruise
ships and mainland flights to continue unloading potential Covid positive carriers on Hawaii
Island. There NEEDS to be a stoppage.
Further,restaurants and bars NEED to follow the Governor's edict and close for business. As we
are seeing, there are a mix of responses in the community. Some listening to advice, others
disregarding. The people who disregard endanger us all.
People and businesses are making sacrifices, and unfortunately, we will all need to. I sell real
estate,professionally- and this will dramatically affect my business.
If we make short term, difficult decisions, we can potentially avoid catastrophic failure and or
irreperarable damage to our beloved island.
Our Hawai'i Island leadership and Mayor Kim need to lead Hawai'i Island on this -not leave it
up to each individual, for all of our safety.
Please remember and take with you: Ua Mau ke Ea o ka `Aina i ka Pono,the life of the land is
perpetuated in righteousness.
Do what is pono, protect us - your constituents.
