The proposed amendments are shown in Ramseyer format with respect to the contents of <br /> Resolution No. 568-20, material to be deleted is bracketed and stricken through, material to be <br /> added is underscored. <br /> 1. The first WHEREAS clause is amended to read as follows: <br /> "WHEREAS,the Hawaii County Police Department and the Hawai'i County Office <br /> of the Mayor County of Hawai`i wishes to enter into a memorandum of agreement(MOA) with <br /> the State of Hawai`i; and" <br /> 2. The second WHEREAS clause is amended to read as follows: <br /> "WHEREAS,the agreement is to receive funds from the State of Hawai`i to <br /> reimburse the County for overtime costs, supplies, equipment and other expenses incurred by the <br /> Hawai`i County Police Department and the Office of the Mayor up to and including December <br /> 31, 2019, in response to the protest activities related to the construction of the Thirty Meter • <br /> Telescope on the summit of Mauna Kea; and" <br /> A draft copy of proposed Resolution No. 568-20, Draft 2 and amended MOU (Communication <br /> No. 855) is attached.
