These funds are to be used to respond to the growing effects of the COVID-19 health crisis. Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating this $1,543,033 CDBG COVID-19 grant. The Office of Housing and Community Development(OHCD) requests that a breach be authorized to submit this bill after the April 2, 2020 submission deadline and that it be waived from the Finance Committee and placed on the on the April 22, 2020 Council agenda, and to waive Council's five-day hold-for-reconsideration in order to expedite this transaction. REQUEST: We request to amend Ordinance 19-73. The 2019-2020 Operating Budget to increase the Budget in the Housing Fund as follows: The Office of Housing and Community Development is requesting the appropriation of a special COVID-19 a"location of$ 1,543,033.00 to CDBG-COVID 19 (Account Number 010.3301.xx).
