RESOLUTION NO. 589 20
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT.TO PURCHASE TENNIS NETS FOR LINCOLN
PARK.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Recreation Division, plans,
conducts, arranges, and promotes organized recreation and athletic activities for all age groups at
recreation centers and facilities throughout the County of Hawai`i; and
WHEREAS,the Department of Parks and Recreation, Recreation Division,
wishes to replace the aging and worn tennis nets at the Lincoln Park facility; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds to purchase
new tennis nets and for shipping costs; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 2 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation to purchase tennis nets and for shipping costs to replace aged and worn
tennis nets at Lincoln Park.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
