I strongly urge you to support immediate and far reaching measures to mitigate the spread of this disease. - Close non-essential business, offices, hotels, restaurants and bars. - Support a plan to halt all tourism from outside Hawaii, including overseas flights. - Test, then quarantine when necessary, all residents returning to Hawaii. -Use all available resources to secure PPEs for our first responders and medical personnel. - Support wide-ranging testing so the spread can be contained-WE NEED MORE TESTING - Keep us informed of the help we can provide from our homes. - Support a plan to shelter in place. We are kidding ourselves if we continue to believe the headline in today's WHT: "No Evidence yet of Community Spread" Such misinformation has lead to the slow and lackadaisical approach that our State- and County in particular is currently taking. It is here and we are not testing. Our limited hospital capacity will be quickly reached. Our remote location will make it even more challenging to get the personnel and supplies that will be needed. Please act now. Thank you for your work and attention to this important matter. Robin Alterman, RN Comm. No. caun' Ref. To•_NIA Ref. Dote MAR 2 0 2020
