I am writing to ask that farmers markets as well as farming and ranching operations/businesses be included as essential services and allowed to remain open during the possible shelter in place protocol. The markets provide necessary access to local produce, meats and other foods that the community needs and provides support for those small businesses. At this time we need to make sure that our agriculture industry is strong and ready to support our population needs not going bankrupt. Our market has gone to "shop and go" to promote social distancing and discourage social gathering, it is essentially an outdoor grocery store at this point. Please consider how we are going to feed our communities should a shipping disruption occur, we must have our farmers and ranchers and the time to support them is now. Mahalo for your consideration, -Stacy Aurway Kamuela Farmers Market Comm. No._4610 "1 Ref. To• N/A Ref. Date MAR 2 0 2Q?Q.
