Dear Mayor Kim,
I am a 72-year-old property owner in Mountain View and my income is dependent on a short-
term rental I own in Kona.
Although the economic impact on my family will be severe, I am writing to ask you to ban all
tourism to our island for as long as this crisis lasts. Our people will come together and help each
other get by. Please do not expose me and my family to this virus because of money interests
trying to persuade you otherwise.
Please show good leadership and save lives by stopping planes and ships from coming, except
for shipping. I and all my neighbors in the fern Acres Community of Mountain View are
watching to see if you will take the necessary steps.
