Hawaii County Council,
I understand that you are having an emergency meeting and wanted to send some thoughts
and support your way. It is time to take strong definitive action and protect our state from
tourists coming to visit. We had a situation here in Kona where two people came here, were
ask why they were here and their reply was that their office was contaminated so they were
sent home to self quarantine so they decided to fly to Hawaii and do their "quarantine" here,
never thinking how many people they may have infected during their travel. Our medical
facilities are not equipped to handle what may happen. Please act now to protect our island. A
15 day quarantine for residents returning and to limit all non essential travel would be a start.
