To: Council Testimony
Dear Hawaii County Council and Mayor,
Out of our great concern for our Hawaii Island communities who are/have gone to extreme
measures to protect themselves, their families, their businesses etc., etc.,we request your better
judgement going forward with the immediate ultimate protection oversight of our County during
this period of danger of exposure to the COVED-19 Pandemic. As Hawaii County communities
shelter-in-place we are carelessly exposed daily to new visitor arrivals,their open access through
our communities all with the potential of our unnecessary exposure to this Pandemic due these
visitors unwillingness to follow pretty much every precautionary warning our county's
individual county, state and federal authorities are advising and in some areas has already been
mandated. Why are we not taking further more responsible precautions for our own Ohana who
has really only been exposed to-date due the introduction of this Pandemic from these travelers
visiting or, infected residents returning home ? Please mandate the minimal quarantine
requirements, at the expense of these careless individuals account,to assure our ultimate
protection.
