We are transmitting for the Council's review and consideration a resolution authorizing
the condemnation of a portion of the above parcel.
The Department of Public Works requests that we acquire the above parcel by
September 1, 1999. We are therefore asking that this matter be waived from committee to be
heard before the full Council in order that we may expedite the condemnation process.
Sincerely,
RICHARD D. WURDEMAN

RE: Resolution No. 128-99: Lanikaula/Manono Street Improvements
Pursuant to Section 1(e) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawaii, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be
waived from the Committee on Public Works and Parks to the full Council for immediate action.
In reviewing this matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is
granted and the matter placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event
this request is denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the
Committee on Public Works and Parks for placement on its future agenda.
Sincerely,
Dominic Yagong, hit ~
