Subject: Bill 146
I support Bill 146 because it creates a mechanism for the county to use the expertise and special skills that nonprofit
organizations may have to meet emergency needs in certain "niche"areas.
As nonprofit land trust entity called Housing and Land Enterprises of Hawaii County, the land trust,working with others,
can help to create housing options in the community on a unit-by-unit basis.
Thank you for considering Bill 146 as a way that community members can continue to help the community in which they
