I am writing to you today to join the many others in expressing opposition to both the language and intent of
Agenda #568-20.
At best, Hawai'i County should be reimbursed for only moneys spent through.December 31, 2019, and the •
resolution should not include language relating to anything open-ended, unknown., or relating to projections into
the future.
Lastky, I would like to stress that I believe it is wholly appropriate for you to join the messaging of Infectious
Disease doctors around the world by strongly recommending that no action be taken by TMT relating to any
component of this so-called project, and that the penalties for doing so would be significant for those
responsible. It is abundantly clear that any attempts by TMT to initiate construction during this pandemic would
require the gathering of peoples, and put many lives at immediate risk.
