RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A
GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF HAWAII PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7,1
FOR A GRANT TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAII

I, Desiree Lee oppose Resolution No. 568-20. I preside in Waipahu, on the island of {
Oahu. Thank you for this opportunity to address the committee
•Hawaii and the Global human race is in a Pandemic/Economic catastrophe
Please ponder this for a moment. Hawaii, as the rest of the world will be facing w �
astronomical economic collapse. Meaningfully, the State of Hawaii, its counties,
and global economics is in despair. Millions of peoples are jobless; healthcare is in
desolation and surmounting bereavement is incomprehensible.
Resolution 568-20 should be deferred or abolished
• Hearing should to deferred until a"proper"public hearing can be
conducted
• Terms of the Memorandum Agreement(C-855) Article IV.
"...undisputed response expenses incurred upto and including the
date of termination." is unparalleled. WE are all facing economic
hardship and an undetermined timeline and amount of expense
is detrimental.
The forecast of economic recovery for our state is indeterminate. The recession we are all
about to face will be disparaging. Therefore, your deep consideration to deter this
resolution is in the best interest for all citizens of the State of Hawai i.
