Subject: Oppose 568-20 Bill
Dear. Hawaii County Council,
I am residing on Moku 0 Keawe, as a guest of Kanaka Maoli/Oiwi/Hawaiian Kindom lands, as many of us are.
I am writing to oppose Resolution 586-20 and attached"wording" C-855 and do not wish it to pass: unless the
amount due is specified &unless the enddate of December 31, 2019 (Last Year) is specified.
This is SO much like the public funds used during the illegal poisoning of the land and water of the Standing
Rock Sioux peoples and all the people's downstream for police enforcement for PRIVATE corporate gains. This
is not pono. Meanwhile, the community really needs these funds for the public good, not to punish Indigenous
peoples for following their inherent rights to their sacred lands. We should be grateful for their sacrifice to
protect this moku for all of us,not punitive. It's going to, additionally, feel very raw that this would attempted to
be passed during this pandemic, please take this opportunity to stand for the people at this time of great need.
Sincerely, a
Allison.Nemenyi Shiozaki m
