RESOLUTION NO. 601 20
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A
DONATION OF 3M RESPIRATORS WITH CARTRIDGES TO THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII POLICE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, Home Depot is donating 176 3M respirators with cartridges to the
County of Hawai`i Police Department; and
WHEREAS,these respirators and cartridges will be used by first responders during
the COVID-19 pandemic; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawai`i County Charter,provides that the
council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other
personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, , in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of
Hawai`i, accepts this donation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this
resolution be sent via email to Ms. Liusa P. Laititi at LaititiPLiusa@homedepot.com.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Police Department, the Department of Finance and the Office of the Mayor.
