Aloha,
As someone that lives on 40th Ave, I want to make it completely obvious to all there are two
places on 40th Ave that can sweep cars off the road and possibly drown people every single time
there is a heavy rain, One will need a bridge and the other culverts will probably work. It's not
just simple paving some infrastructure is involved.
Also it is already hard to turn right onto the highway towards Milo where Ola'a meets the
highway if someone waiting to go left. When returning from town the left onto Ola'a already
starts to back up Volcano bound traffic some. All of this is curable in some way.
My point being it can't be a reliable evacuation or bus routeifit is periodically dangerous, like
every single time it rains heavy up mauka.
In all fairness Railroad Ave. should also be open. It is not Orchidland's sole responsibility to
handle lower Puna's traffic problem.
