Aloha Hawaii County Council,
Bless each of you for the work you are doing to unsure a better future for the children. I am writing
today in support of Resolution 568-20 with the accompanying communications 855 and bill 115
draft 2. The exact amount owed to the County of Hawaii$5,342,262. for the costs since December,
31, 2019. In a time like this were money is tight for all it is important to look at how the state
chooses to use it's money. I feel if this was presented as a citizen conversations no one would want
to see money like this go out. The protection of Mauna Kea is essential and the end of the TIVIT
project is also essential.Just think if TMT project was called off how nice in this time of corona this
grant money could be used for something else that is so needed. I feel it is important that the

community needs to be at the table for these conversations because essential we fund these
agency's. These agencies are created for the well-being of a system. If that system excludes the
people and the well being of the people there ends up being corruption that spirals out. The
community must be able to add their voices that will be counted before any future agreements
before incurring cost. The powerful members of your community want what is best for everyone. I
know that you do also. Working as a united force for the well being of the children the land and the
water for future generations is the shared goal. I am hoping with this issue and the others you face
that a united force can and will be maintained. I Support Reso 568-20. Thank you for your time and
the good work you are doing.
