RESOLUTION NO. 610 20
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE AND INSTALL A WATER TANK
FOR POTABLE WATER AT KAPA'A BEACH PARK.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Parks Maintenance Division,
maintains neighborhood parks, beach parks, cemeteries,playgrounds, ballfields, and other
recreational facilities to provide the public with safe facilities; and
WHEREAS, in order to provide potable water for those who frequent Kapa'a Beach
Park in Kapa`au,North Kohala, the Department of Parks and Recreation will purchase and install
a new 4,000-gallon polyethylene (poly) water tank for all water needs at the park; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds to help defray
the costs needed to purchase and install the new poly water tank at Kapa'a Beach Park; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation to help defray the costs needed to purchase and install a new water tank at
Kapa'a Beach Park.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
