RESOLUTION NO.
I
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING THE HAWAII COUNTY COUNCIL
REPRESENTATIVE AND ALTERNATE REPRESENTATIVE TO SERVE ON THE
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE HAWAII STATE ASSOCIATION OF
COUNTIES.
WHEREAS, the Hawaii State Association of Counties (HSAC) is a nonprofit
corporation comprised of members of the four County Councils of the State of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, Section 5 of the HSAC Bylaws requires each County Council to appoint
one of its members to serve as an officer of the HSAC Executive Committee, and to designate an
alternate member, whose term shall begin July 1 of the next fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, Section 5 of the HSAC Bylaws also requires that in making the
appointment, each Council shall delegate to the appointees sufficient authority to formulate the
proposed slate of officers; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Council Member Ashley L. Kierkiewicz is hereby appointed its representative to the HSAC
Executive Committee for the term commencing July 1, 2020.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Council Member Rebecca Villegas is hereby
appointed as Hawaii County Council's alternate representative to the HSAC Executive
Committee for the term commencing July 1, 2020.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the President and Secretary of the Hawai`i State Association of Counties.
