Grant funds in the amount of$1,000 were provided to Daughters of Hawai`i with Contingency Relief funds via Resolution No. 492-20 in the amount of$500 and Resolution No. 528-20 in the amount of$500. These funds were intended for the King Kamehameha Day Celebration Parade and Ho`olaule`a that have since been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. ,The department is requesting that the funds be returned to the Legislative Contingency Relief account. The Department of Liquor Control requests that this resolution be waived from Finance Committee and be placed on the May 20, 2020 Council agenda in order to expedite the transfer of these funds. The events were canceled due to the Corvid-19 pandemic. The Department of Liquor Control is requesting the funds be transferred back to the Clerk-Council Svc- Contingency Relief account.
