RESOLUTION NO. 617
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A
LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR
FOR A MULTI-YEAR LEASE FOR ONE (1) MULTI-FUNCTION
COPY MACHINE FOR THE OFFICE OF THE PROSECUTING
ATTORNEY
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract,
lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a
later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Countyof Hawaii wishes to enter into a multi-year lease for

five (5) years, for one (1) multifunction large capacity copy machine for the Office
of the Prosecuting Attorney; and
WHEREAS, this copier will be utilized by the Prosecutor's office in Hilo; and
WHEREAS, the current copier is obsolete and requires frequent repairs; now
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year
lease for the equipment as indicated above, for the Office of the
Prosecuting Attorney.
2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the
anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the
agreement.

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of
Hawaii shall transmit copies ofthis resolution to the Office of the Prosecuting
Attorney, Office of the Mayor and the Department of Finance.
