RE: Resolution 580-20 Authorizes the Office of the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the
Hawaii Technology Development Corporation
Position: Support
The Hawaii Food Industry Association is comprised of two hundred member companies
representing retailers, suppliers, producers, and distributors of food and beverage related
products in the State of Hawaii.
The Hawaii Technology Development Corporation is a vital resource for building the economic
future of our state. The program funded by this agreement will help new and small businesses
in Hawaii County get support they need to grow and thrive. This is an extremely challenging
economic climate and all our local business need and deserve our support. HTDC provides
technological expertise to Hawaii businesses that helps create an economy that is stronger
and more diverse. We urge you to pass this measure and we thank you for the opportunity to
testify.
