Dear Finance Committee Chair David, Vice Chair Richards and Finance Committee members.
I ask that you support Resolution 6014-20 that will allow PATH to continue operating the bikeshare systems in
Kona and Hilo. This funding will allow the continuation of the free bikeshare membership throughout 2020 and
will help with plans to add bikeshare stations at Hawaii Community College and UH Hilo. We feel this program
is a win win for our community as it provides healthy option for families and visitors to enjoy the great outdoors
to commute between scenic points of interest. It also supports a better environment by reducing use of fossil
fuels.
