Re: Resolution for multi-year agreement .
The Police Department seeks to enter into an amended lease agreement for a three-year
extension of the current agreement to utilizethe premises for the Kea`au Police and Fire
Station.
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the County to enter into a three-year, multi-year lease
agreement with W.H. Shipman, Limited, for this real property identified by TMK: (3) 1-
6-143:010, TMK: (3) 1-6-143:036 and TMK: (3) 1-6-143:037.

A. REQUEST:
Prepare County Council submittal authorizing the County of Hawaii Police Department to enter into an
Amedendment to Lease for a three (3) year extension to utilize the premises for the Kea'au Police and Fire
Station.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The County of Hawai`i Police Department and the Fire Department currently utilizes the premises owned by
W. H. Shipman, identified as tax map key(3) 1-6-143:010, 036 and 037, for a Police and Fire Station. The
proposed amendment will be for a three year period from July 15, 2020 to July 31, 2023.
