Re: Public Transportation
Dear Councilman Tyler,
The new Hele-On Kona-Infra route by the Mass Transit Agency is a step in
the right direction.
I have concerns that without a good marking plan for the Kona service, it
could fail. Without a sufficient marking plan, routes, schedules and public
promotions, the past results will occur again.
County leadership needs to embrace the fact that one of the reasons we have
a poor economy is because an adequate transportation system is not in place.
I would encourage all of our civic leaders to look to the future and consider
this issue important to our economy, quality of life and that it requires
improvement.
Sincerely,
Merle Martin
