Dear Sir/Madam:
Aloha. I am newly retired and in July 2018 purchased a 2nd home in Kona. I live in Alaska 6 months and Kona 6 months. I
am on a fixed budget. I was recently made aware of your proposal to increase non residents property taxes.
I think this is very unfair and unwise. I do not now nor do I intend to rent out my condo.
I have asthma and I come to Kona for the wonderful weather and sunshine.
It would be an extreme burden on me to raise my taxes. I may have to sell it if you do. I am already assessed for
$50,000.00 higher Value than I paid for it. I tried to correct this but the assessor said there was nothing he could do.
Please take this comment into serious consideration. My property does not generate income. It is my second home.
