RESOLUTION NO. 661 20 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR AGREEMENT FOR BODY CAMERA EQUIPMENT, MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii, Police Department wishes to enter into a new five (5) year, multi-year agreement with Axon Enterprise, Inc.; and WHEREAS, this agreement provides for the acquisition of body camera equipment, maintenance and cloud-based storage; and WHEREAS, these body cameras will be issued to officers for use while out in the field; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year agreement for the body camera equipment, maintenance and cloud- based storage as described above, for the Police Department. 2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement. BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawaii shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of the Mayor, Police Department, and the Finance Department.
