RE: Public Trans orta 'on Kona ' trict
Thank you for attending the July 2 Kona meeting with community residents regazding
improvements and coordination of public transportation in West Hawaii and the Kona
district, in pazticulaz. I appreciate the time you took from your busy schedule to receive
community input on this important matter.
As we discussed, there is a real need to inform West Hawaii residents of the improved
azea bus route. In better coordinating public and private efforts in this regazd, I believe
there will be a positive contribution to, not only the residents, but also visitors alike.
This, in turn, should also have a direct impact on economic opportunities.
As a result of our discussion, it was your recommendation that this matter be further
taken up by the Public Works and Parks Committee. I believe that makes good sense and
will be a good opportunity for sharing this information with the general public.
I look forward to working with you, and I hope you will let me know how I can be of
further help. Thank you for your help and consideration.
