RESOLUTION NO. 670 20
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
MAINTENANCE, REPAIR AND/OR IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS IN COUNCIL
DISTRICT 2.
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works is charged with the repair and
maintenance of most County facilities and public improvements, as well as flood control, traffic
safety, and highway maintenance to safeguard the public; and
WHEREAS, within Council District 2, there are many facilities, roads, public areas, and
other areas that fall under the department's purview, in need of maintenance, repair and/or
improvements; and
WHEREAS, these include, but are not limited to fencing, landscaping and clearing,
signage, traffic safety, flood prevention measures, and other necessary and appropriate projects;
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 2 will be appropriated to the Department of
Public Works for maintenance, repair, and/or improvement projects in Council District 2.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Public Works and Director of Finance, and that the Director of
Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this
resolution.
