RESOLUTION NO. 675 5 ZO
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS TO
PROVIDE COMMUNITY BEAUTIFICATION KITS FOR IMPROVEMENT
PROJECTS IN COUNCIL DISTRICT 4.
WHEREAS, Council District 4 has many facilities, parks, and public areas that fall
under the purview of the Department of Public Works, which require continual maintenance,
landscaping, clearing, litter control, and general upkeep; and
WHEREAS, with additional funding, the Department of Public Works can provide
beautification kits to community groups to assist with improvement projects in Council District 4;
and
WHEREAS, the beautification kits will consist of storage tubs containing, but not
limited to, miscellaneous tools and supplies for landscaping and rubbish collection and disposal;
and
WHEREAS, by procuring and distributing these kits, the Department of Public Works
will be working in partnership with the community to achieve common beautification goals;
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to the Department of
Public Works to provide community beautification kits for improvement projects in Council
District 4.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Public Works and Director of Finance, and that the Director of
Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this
resolution.
