Re: Capital Budget
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance re-appropriating the County's share of the
federally-funded project to construct Lindsey Road Improvements. This project
proposes to improve the intersection at Lindsey Road and Kawaihae Road and
to reconstruct the failing pavement along a portion of Lindsey Road and
Kawaihae Road.

A. REQUEST:
By Ordinance, reappropriate $951,000.00 in funds for Lindsey Road
Improvements as originally appropriated by Ordinances 96-129 and 97-60.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
This money will provide the County share of the Federally-funded project
to construct Lindsey Road Improvements. The project was planned to be
awarded prior to the funds lapsing, but due to last-minute revisions the
award date was postponed.
