Re: Resolution Changing the Funding Source of One Account Clerk Position

Enclosed is a resolution changing the funding source of one federally funded Account
Clerk position. In 1985, a position was created through an agreement between the State
of Hawaii, Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, Workforce Development
Division and the Department of Parks & Recreation. Recently, the Department of Parks
& Recreation received notification that the funding for this position will cease due to the
closure of the Senior Training and Employment Program. The County of Hawaii plans
to continue the funding of this position being that it is still a critical need for the Elderly
Activities Division as their Elderly Recreation Services: and Special Programs continue to
grow while being understaffed.
