RESOLUTION NO. 684 20
RESOLUTION CHANGING THE FUNDING SOURCE OF ONE (1)
ACCOUNT CLERK POSITION
WHEREAS, in 1985, the State of Hawaii, Department of Labor and
Industrial Relations, Workforce Development Division, through a contract with the
Department of Parks & Recreation, provided federal funding for one (1) position
under the Senior Training and Employment Program;
WHEREAS, the federal funding for this one (1) Account Clerk, position
number 00-03208, will cease due to the closure of the Senior Training and
Employment Program; and
WHEREAS, this position is still critical for the Parks & Recreation's
Elderly Activities Division as the Elderly Recreation Services and Special
Programs continue to grow while being understaffed; and
WHEREAS, there should be sufficient funds in the various regular salaries
and wages accounts of the Department of Parks & Recreation for this position;
and
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
that the County will continue to fund the Account Clerk position (Position No.
00-03208).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that funds should be available in the
various regular salaries and wages accounts of the Department of Parks &
Recreation for this position.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of
Hawaii shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of the Mayor and to
the Departments of Finance, Human Resources and Parks & Recreation.
