Re: Operating Budget
The United States Tennis Association is providing $2,000 to the County of Hawaii to assist with
some of the expenses associated with the reopening of the Ho`olulu Complex tennis courts after
the COVID-19 closures. The funds will be used towards cleaning and sanitation measures, tennis
supplies and other tennis -related reopening expenses.
Enclosed is a bill for an Ordinance to appropriate $2,000 from private contributions. The
Department of Parks & Recreation is requesting that this bill be waived from the Finance
Committee and be placed on the July 22, 2020 Council agenda in order to expedite the receipt of
these funds. If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call Reid Sewake of Parks &
Recreation at 961-8560.
