.JMtVOsk4w,' <br /> •�•�" ,moi '. <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 688 20 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A <br /> DONATION OF STAGHORN FERNS TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAII <br /> DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION <br /> WHEREAS, Gene Monnier is donating various Staghorn ferns to the County of <br /> Hawai`i Department of Parks & Recreation; and <br /> WHEREAS, the ferns, valued at $2,950, will be located at the Pana`ewa Rainforest <br /> Zoo and Garden; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawai`i County Charter, provides that the <br /> council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other <br /> personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of this <br /> donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, , in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawai`i County Charter, the County of <br /> Hawaii, accepts this donation. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this <br /> resolution be sent to Gene Monnier, 29-371 Chin Chuck Rd., Hakalau, HI 96710, <br /> acknowledging this generous donation. <br />
