Hunt Deputy Director Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the County to enter into a multi-year amended and restated lease for 75 years with Papa`aloa Housing, Inc. for the rehabilitation and leasehold rights to the Papa`aloa Elderly Housing Project. Pdpa`aloa Housing, Inc. desires to renovate the aging facility and increase its size from ten (10) one -bedroom units to a new twenty (20) unit building and a community center. Their plans also include the closure of six (6) cesspools on the property. The Papa`aloa Elderly Housing Project will continue to serve as a rental housing facility for senior citizens. The Office of Housing and Community Development requests that this resolution be waived from Finance Committee and be placed on the July 22, 2020 Council agenda in order to expedite this transaction.
