To Whom itmay concern,
It is very disappointing and unfair for the county to propose a discriminatory tax on only
some homeowners,and not all other homeowners. It's like saying weare only going totax those houses
painted brown,and not all other colors,certainly not fair to the owners of the brown color houses!
How about we change the discrimination to only tax the house owners of houses that are appraised at
$5OD,OOOorlower? Would that befair totarget just that segment ofHawaii homeowners?
I think those two examples clearly point out the discrimination of this newly proposed tax on a targeted
group ofindividuals. It is understandable that sometimes tax revenues need to be increased for various
reasons,but they should be increased evenly,to all owners,and not target only people who own brown
color houses,thank you.
